Including on between her and Kai.Garden of the Purple Dragon is a children's fantasy novel by Carole Wilkinson, published in September 2005 by Macmillan Publishers. I am sure that Ping will always remember Danzi as a friend and a teacher and that many new friendship will be forgde in the next book. however once Ping proved herself to Danzi and herself there friendship grew and grew Danzi even started to rely on her. There was a border between guider and guided. As the story progressed the trust between the two characters grew but danzi and Ping remained separated. The main aspect of friendship is trust, there was very little or no trust between danzi and her meaning there wasn't really friendship either. When Danzi first took Ping from her 'home' she disliked him intensely but as the journey progressed Ping and Danzi became closer. Ping's friendship with Hua I can imagine would have been odd not being able to talk to him or play with him but to Ping who had never had a friend before she would take what ever comfort she could get. Loa Ma was part of Ping life but not really as a guider or a friend, Master Lan definetely wasn't a guider or a friend. There was friendship between Hua and Ping which started over a peice of chicken. To add to my previous comment at the beginning friendship was a peculiar thing.
